He was awarded in the competitions “II Internacional Joaquín Rodrigo” (Madrid, 2004), “Primer Palau” (Barcelona, 2006) and XLI Curso Internacional “Música en Compostela” (Santiago, 1998). He also received the Honor Prize of the Ourense Conservatory, two Grand Prizes of the Barcelona Conservatory and a Postgraduate degree with “Distinction” at the Graz University (Austria). Afterwards he started an intensively performing in Europe, America and Asia.
As a soloist he performed with various orchestras, such as the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, the Real Filharmonía de Galicia Orchestra or the Balearic Symphony Orchestra.
Founding member of the “Música en Compostela” String Quartet, specialized in Spanish music performing, he has currently a stable duo with guitarist Pedro Mateo, with whom he has made the first worldwide recording of the sonatas for violin and guitar by the Austrian composer Ferdinand Rebay, and with pianist Andreu Riera, with the project of recovery the work of the Galician violinist and composer Manuel Quiroga.
He was a member of the Joaquín Rodrigo Chamber Orchestra and the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, as well as a collaborator of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra. More recently he was guest concertmaster in various ensembles, such as the Real Filharmonía de Galicia Orchestra, the Menorca Chamber Orchestra or the Formentor Chamber Orchestra.
He is currently Professor of Violin at the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands.
